Hey ya’ll. Connor here from The Real Zebos. Right off the bat I want to say this is not Bad News. I think typically when you see your favorite artists posting a wall of text you think – “oh no either something terrible happened to my favorite band or they did something terrible and are apologizing” – well I’m happy to report none of those are true. I just wanted to check in since we’ve been a little quiet lately.

Did you know we have a mailing list? And you are probably on it?? Wild stuff. I think I’d like to send out some Zebo newsletters, blog posts, things of that nature. So stick around if that interests you. If not, feel free to unsubscribe. I won’t be offended, but while you’re at it, at least unsubscribe from all that other junk in your inbox.

These days it feels kind of futile to post on social media – instagram and tiktok are shopping apps and twitter is full of nazi losers. The algorithms only show our stuff to a fraction of our audience, people are overstimulated, you know the deal. AND–I’m just gonna come right out and say it–all this AI hoopla really stinks. don’t like it. Not good, ultimately. Probably going to really bad for Society. They shouldn’t have done AI.

In these unprecedented times, where can we turn? That’s right, the tried and true medium of online blogging.

I’m gonna take this opportunity to answer some real-life FAQs. (When you’re in a band, the only small talk people make with you is asking about the band, naturally. I’m not mad about it, it’s just the facts.)

What’s Going On With The Real Zebos?

We are finishing up an album! Getting close to finishing it. In the process of beginning to finish the album. These things take time. It will be out this calendar year, hopefully sooner than later!

When Will You Play A Show Again?

Sometime in 2025, hopefully sooner than later. As you probably know, we had some lineup changes last year with Logan and Jake both departing. We will miss rocking out together but wish them nothing but the best. And as you may also know, Jordan and I both got married last fall! Not to each other, though that would be kind of hot (already used this joke but it’s too obvious to not make again).

So we were kind of focused on that of course. Planning beautiful cermonies, pledging eternal love, things of that nature. Hope you’ll forgive us for not also putting out a record and touring. 😇

A Real Zebos hoodie, honest to god. I wear it pretty often because It’s one of the comfiest hoodies I own, so sue me. This is quality stuff.
