AS MADE FAMOUS 001 – Sunday Morning – The Velvet Underground

Now introducing "AS MADE FAMOUS" a brand new (weekly? bi-weekly? who cares) series in which we create bite-size covers of some of our favorite songs, always with a fresh take.

Here on the official TRZ Blog we’ll talk a little about our relationship with each song, why we chose it, and how the cover came to be.

Connor: I think I picked this song because it was quite literally Sunday morning at the time, and I was probably humming this song in my head. And of course we here at TRZ love the Velvet Underground. I decided to go all-out on the vibraphone and use it for every instrument. So everything but the percussion is just vibraphone with different effects & EQ-ing. 

Also couldn’t help but sneak in a tiny reference to Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning,” another great song from the golden era of Maroon 5 (R.I.P.)
