ZEBOHATER OUT NOW
had to get the news out there in blog form. our new album has been out for two weeks now!! already we have received much love and congratulations from our biggest supporters, and it is appreciated. now begins the task of trying to reach NEW fans - a daunting one but I’m excited to give it a shot
ultimately the most powerful form of marketing is good old-fashioned word-of-mouth. if you have a friend you like to swap music recs with, sneak a little TRZ in the mix and let us know what they say (good or bad)
in the interest of blogging as an archive, I’ll share a little bit of what’s happening right now. earlier this week we had started rehearsal for our upcoming album release show (November 14 at the Waiting Room Lounge in Omaha, NE) and played many of the songs for the first time. even when they are in their roughest form, it’s always exciting to hear the songs played by a real band after only ever living on the computer. Logan hurt his wrist (at the gym, allegedly) so he was only hitting the drums at about 50% capacity. I can only imagine how it will sound when he goes Super Saiyan…
the other day I put up some flyers for our show in Benson and am about to put some around Downtown as well. I’m also pinning up some free tickets on bulletin boards around town – let’s hope they find their way into the hands of someone pure of heart and not, say, Zebohater. that would be really bad.
by now, those who pre-ordered merch should have received the orders!! if you ordered a ZEBOHATER CD, check the back side for a “product number” that indicates how early you were to the ZH train. for full transparency with the shareholders, I think we’ve sold between 40-50 at this point. would you believe that for Strictly Platonic, while still being completely unknown, we ordered a batch of 1,000 CDs? a decision fueled 50% by ego and 50% by the massive discount we received by ordering in bulk. lessons were learned.
okay that’s all for now - thank you for supporting The Real Zebos and reading The Real Zebos Blog. comments and suggestions are always welcome. if you are in Nebraska, we hope to see you at the release show!!!
